Same as the standard aluminum oval, but this one is made from steel increasing the caribiners strength dramatically. Great for those situations where extra durability is needed but weight is not critical. Use for extra security on anchors and are much stronger than their aluminum siblings.

A major benefit of using a "true" oval carabiner is that it is very difficult to load incorrectly and the forces tend to "self-equalize" between the anchor, main line, and ratchet tightening system. Balancing the load equally on the spine and the gate allows the carabiner to maintain full strength under a variety of conditions.
